The biconical cinerary urn was the most common type of Villanovan ash urn. The cremated remains of the deceased were placed in the urn and buried in a well-shaped grave. It is not known whether the urn held the ashes of a man or woman. Decorated with common Villanovan motifs, the urn has geometric incised designs and stamped decoration.
